Company Picnics - Family Reunions - Tour Groups - Special Events
We love preparing barbecued meals for our friends
and customers on the farm. Mike is the master chef and specializes in barbecuing
outside on a grill or smoker. We’ve used many different “custom” grill
designs and have settled on one that is permanently fixed to a trailer that you
pull behind the pickup truck.
Cooking outside gives meat a flavor that cannot be
duplicated, and eating outside gives people an appetite that can’t be
explained. Combine good food with a good appetite and you have the makings for a
great event. Join us around the grill to take in the delicious aroma and discuss
the finer points of basting and preparation.
Following are the choices that we offer to you and your company or family. If
you have special requirements, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Barbecued Chicken Dinner:
This has become our specialty. We serve our free-range chicken, quartered and
cooked over charcoal with our special oil & vinegar based barbecue sauce. We
typically serve our barbecued beans, cooked in a cast iron pot over an open
flame.
Your meal includes a quarter chicken (dark or light meat), coleslaw (or
potato salad), baked beans, deviled eggs, a homemade roll and cake or pie for
dessert. Soft drinks, suntea, juice and/or water are provided.
*Prices start at $10.00 per person.
We require a minimum of 15 persons and can serve up to 100 people.

Perhaps the most fun of all, the whole hog
barbecue is a favorite of the Hubbard family. We cook the hog slowly over the
course of several hours to ensure the tenderness and doneness. It will be on to
cook in the wee hours of the morning, so it’s sizzling when you arrive for the
day.
Your meal includes barbecued pork, coleslaw (or potato salad), baked beans,
deviled eggs, a homemade roll and cake or pie for dessert. Soft drinks,
homemade sun tea, juice and/or water are provided.
*Prices start at $12.00 per person.
We require a minimum of 15 persons and can serve up to 100 people. We will
barbecue hams or shoulders (in lieu of the whole hog) for smaller party sizes.

Serving our own grass finished beef, we’ll
barbecue whole, marinated briskets, served chopped or sliced.
This meal includes beef barbecue on a roll, coleslaw (or potato salad),
baked beans, deviled eggs and cake or pie for dessert. Soft drinks, homemade
sun tea, juice and/or water are provided.

Old Fashioned Weenie Roast:
Do you know about old fashioned “weenie roasts”?
The weenie roast is a tradition in Burke’s Garden and one you don’t want to
miss. Picnickers ride the wagon up to the bon fire site, starting in the late
afternoon with the opportunity to linger until just before dusk, to roast
weenies and marshmallows around the fire. Former Girl Scouts will remember s’mores.
That’s where you place your toasted marshmallow on a chocolate bar, sandwiched
between graham crackers. It’s the perfect ending to a perfect day.
Your meal includes “weenies” made from
Garden Mountain Farm’s custom sausages (from our own pastured pork we’ll
offer bratwurst, chorizo, Italian and/or kielbasa) and buns, with “fixin’s,”
deviled eggs, baked beans, potato chips and s’mores. Soft drinks, suntea,
juice and/or water are provided.
*Prices start at $10.00 per person.
We require a minimum group of 15, to a maximum of 30 people for a weenie
roast.

*Pricing “per person” for meals will be based
on the number of guests served and will vary with your requirements. Prices
quoted are minimums and firm quotes will be provided upon individual inquiry.
Generally available at any time, “farm
entertainment” includes a guided tour of the farm, demonstrating our
sustainable farming methods, and a tractor pulled hay wagon ride.
We have horseshoes, badminton, and volleyball available and you are welcomed
to bring along your bats, balls and gloves and play a little old fashioned
baseball out in the pasture.
